A product in the portfolio of THE WILD ALPS - a classic, and in our view the quintessence of a whisky. Distilled from our slightly smoked barley, we mature the distillate exclusively in selectedex Bourbon barrels.
We bottle this single malt Whisky „non chill filtered”. This is Whisky „pure“.
In limited numbers, the product is also available in double magnum bottles

Gold Award MAUND Whisky
Amber colour, medium nose (honey, vanilla). Initial sweetnbess and some interesting (almost menthol?) flavours coming through the palate. Medium
finish, very interesting. Slightly smokey nose with honey and light red fruits on the nose, Honey joins the palate with more red berries and gental
sweet some. Long finish with well balanced complexity and sweetness coming through in waves.
The brand “MAUND” ®
John Oakley Maund was an English banker, adventurer and alpinist who became famous for several first ascents in the Mont Blanc massif in the 19th century. During the “Golden Age of Apinism”, Sir J. O. Maund had mansions and hunting villas built by the famous architect William Morris on Lake Lucerne (Switzerland) and in the Bregenzerwald (Arlberg region, Austria).
